<literalLayout>As part of the Long Term Ecological Research in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, meteorological data was collected from various locations throughout Beacon, Taylor, Wright and Victoria Valleys. These files contain data for the Garwood Valley meteorology station. This station reported data for about a year, during 2011. On January 11, 2012 the station was disconnected and relocated to the Miers Valley. Met data for Garwood can be obtained visiting the Garwood Ice Cliff Met Station.</literalLayout>

<literalLayout> Meteorological data is collected year-round at each of the stations in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica. <literalLayout> The Garwood Valley meteorological station was added to the McMurdo Dry Valley network in the 2010-2011 field season. The station was set up to sample sensors every 30 seconds and send summary statistics (for example, averages and maximums) to solid-state storage modules every 15 minutes. This has resulted in approximately 20 values being recorded for final storage in every output interval. After a season, it was decided to move this station (codename GADM) to the nearby Miers Valley (codename MISM). The meteorology at this valley is well covered by the Garwood Valley Ice Cliff station served first by Joe Levy's group.</literalLayout>
