Ruth studies how current soil processes are influenced by past glacial activity in the Polar Regions, specifically Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, and the McMurdo Dry Valleys, Antarctica. As part of the MCM LTER, Ruth is looking at how current soil phosphorus cycling has been shaped by glacial history through the deposition of different parent materials.
